Andrew Chambler, Specialist Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon, Executive Consultant and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

After qualifying from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, part of Imperial College London, he embarked on his surgical career, where he soon became interested in the field of orthopaedics and shoulder and elbow surgery, in particular. He was later awarded his Masters of Surgery degree in this area by the University of London in 2000.

He gained his Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship with Professor Carr in Oxford and has since been awarded travelling fellowships by various societies, including the British Elbow & Shoulder Society (BESS) within the United Kingdom and Europe, and the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States of America.

His practice is in the Bath area of Southwest England at Sulis Hospital and The Bath Clinic seeing both NHS and private patients at these facilities.

At these hospitals, he specialises in performing various surgeries, including computer-navigated shoulder replacement and biological tendon repair.

He also performs advanced keyhole shoulder surgery to treat a variety of conditions, such as rotator cuff tears, instability, frozen shoulder and sports injuries, and is actively involved in research to improve patient outcomes.
