Dr Subashini M, Medical Director at Aviva Health

Suba is a Medical Director at Aviva Health, where she is responsible for evolving Aviva’s approach to Oncology and ESG.

While she is a surgical doctor by background, having worked in both private and public hospitals, her career spans several sectors. Most recently, she has been working in the retail sector, where she provided expertise in powering the delivery of science-backed in-store and digital products and services in a global setting. Her past experiences include implementing value-based healthcare initiatives and championing workplace wellbeing in the insurance industry, as well as working as a research fellow focused on health outcomes and health policy.

She is a Non-Executive Director at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust where she is also the Wellbeing Guardian, and is a faculty member at Good Governance Institute.

She has been shortlisted as the finalist in the Professions category at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2020, finalist in the Insurance Leader of the Year category at the COVER Excellence Awards 2021 and finalist in the Head Office Heroes category at the Retail Week Awards 2023.
