Joshua discovered yoga through his theatre training, which led him to move from Canada to the United Kingdom in 2013. He pursued his Master of Arts, focusing on how yoga could enhance the three disciplines of musical theatre and support artists' mental health. He is now working on a PhD in musical theatre and inclusive learning.
He integrates various yoga styles, including Vinyasa, Yin, Rocket, and Mandala, into his teaching. He combines these with his extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chakras, myofascial meridians and somatics. In addition to being a yoga instructor, he is a certified personal trainer and sports masseuse. His teaching reflects a passion for learning and incorporates new insights into studio classes and yoga teacher training programs throughout London.
Joshua is known for his high-energy classes that are inclusive, allowing each student to find movements that suit their individual bodies. He promotes mind-body awareness, playful sequencing, and a sense of curiosity. Joshua's classes encourage students to explore the question, "I wonder what would happen if," making the practice an enjoyable and ongoing journey of discovery.
