What is it?

Holland & Barrett Lutigold Lutein capsules contain the plant-based carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin – the pigments in fruits and vegetables that give them a yellow or reddish hue. Lutein is not made in the body, so it can only be obtained through your diet and lutein supplements.

What Are the Benefits of This Supplement?

Carotenoids can’t be made in our bodies; therefore, you may find it useful to take carotenoid supplements and make sure to consume carotenoid-rich foods like parsley, spinach, kale, broccoli, and peas.

Even though carotenoids make up yellow and reddish hues in some fruits and vegetables, they’re found mostly in dark-green leafy vegetables. The dark-green lutein and zeaxanthin pigments are simply disguised by the chlorophyll in leafy green vegetables.
