Julie Cunningham is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist in the United States.
As a nutrition and diabetes expert, Julie specialises in helping people understand how the foods they eat every day translate to changes in their long-term health. She is passionate about showing people that small, permanent dietary changes are superior to the fad diets often promoted in the popular press.
Julie worked in hands-on healthcare for more than twenty years before working as a healthcare copywriter. She is a graduate of the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and believes that writing evidence-based healthcare information allows her to spread sound nutrition science to a wide variety of consumers.
Through this passion, she is also the author of the book ’30 Days to Tame Type 2 Diabetes’. But when she's not writing, she can be found practising yoga or curled up with her Shih Tzu engrossed in a suspenseful novel.
